In the morning, you’ll take a thrilling helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a breathtaking 45-50-minute journey that rewards you with spectacular Himalayan vistas.

Please have your trekking luggage packed and ready the night before, as we’ll be departing early for Tenzing-Hillary Airport, one of the world’s most iconic airstrips.

Upon arrival in Lukla (2,860 m/9,383 ft), your porters will be there to assist with your duffel bags. We assign one porter for every two clients to ensure an efficient and balanced load.

After enjoying a warm cup of tea and a light snack in Lukla, we begin the first leg of our trek toward Phakding.

Today’s trail is gentle and scenic which is a perfect way to ease into the journey. You’ll descend gradually along a well-marked trail that meanders through lush pine and rhododendron forests, following the sparkling waters of the Dudh Koshi River.

Along the way, you’ll pass quaint Sherpa villages such as Chheplung and Thadokoshi, as well as colorful mani walls, mani stones, and fluttering prayer flags that imbue the Khumbu region with its serene, spiritual atmosphere.

After several hours of hiking, we arrive at the tranquil village of Phakding, our resting place for the night.

After a hearty breakfast, we continue trekking along the tranquil Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges as we pass through the villages of Toktok, Benkar, Chomua, and Monjo.

At Monjo, we enter Sagarmatha National Park, where your permits will be verified. From here, we proceed to Jorsalle (2,740 m/8,989 ft), a picturesque spot where we’ll pause for lunch.

Following lunch, the trail continues as you cross two more suspension bridges and navigate a trail with gentle ascents and descents, characteristic of this region.

The path then leads across additional suspension bridges, including the iconic Hillary Suspension Bridge.

A steep climb brings us to Top Danda, where you’ll be rewarded with your first breathtaking views of Mount Everest and other majestic peaks such as Kusum Kangkaru, Mount Nuptse, Thamserku, and Taboche.

The final part of the trail is lined with sacred mani stones, fluttering prayer flags, prayer wheels, and chortens symbols of the deep spiritual heritage of the Khumbu region.

From Top Danda, it’s about an hour’s trek to Namche Bazaar, renowned for its warm Sherpa hospitality and vibrant atmosphere, a bustling center of culture, trade, and adventure, perfect for rest and acclimatization.

Acclimatization is a vital part of any high-altitude trek, and today is dedicated to helping your body adjust while you explore the stunning surroundings of Namche Bazaar.

After a hearty breakfast at your lodge, embark on a short but rewarding hike to Syangboche Airport and the iconic Hotel Everest View which is one of the highest-located hotels in the world.

As you ascend, you’ll be treated to your first clear views of the mighty Mount Everest, along with other breathtaking peaks such as Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kongde Ri.

The sight of these majestic giants against a brilliant blue sky is truly unforgettable.

Upon reaching Hotel Everest View, take a moment to relax and soak in the awe-inspiring panorama. Enjoy a warm drink at the hotel’s café while marveling at one of the best vantage points of Everest in the region.

After some time here, you’ll descend back to Namche Bazaar, where the rest of the day is yours to explore. Namche is a vibrant Sherpa town that beautifully blends traditional culture with modern comforts.

Spend the afternoon wandering its bustling streets, trekking gear shops, relax at a spa, browse bookshops, or explore the Everest Museum, which offers fascinating insights into mountaineering history, Sherpa culture, and the natural environment of the Khumbu region.

This acclimatization day strikes the perfect balance between gentle activity and rest, helping your body adapt to the altitude while immersing you in the unique charm of Namche Bazaar.

Today is the highlight of your trekking adventure in Nepal. After breakfast, your exciting heli sightseeing tour begins as you board a mountain helicopter in Namche Bazaar.

The chopper will take you on a breathtaking flight over the majestic Khumbu Valley. During the tour, you’ll fly over iconic landmarks such as Everest Base Camp, the Khumbu Glacier and Icefall region, Kalapatthar, Namche Bazaar, and Lukla.

Along the way, enjoy stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Everest, and many other towering peaks. The helicopter does not land during the flight but will take you directly to Lukla, where you will have lunch and spend the night.

The entire flight from Namche to Everest Base Camp to Lukla lasts approximately 25 to 40 minutes, depending on the weather and the number of passengers.

Remember that this helicopter ride takes you flying only over Everest Base Camp and the Khumbu Glacier without landing near EBC. After breakfast in Lukla, board a scenic helicopter flight back to Kathmandu, soaking in one final aerial panorama of the breathtaking Himalayas.
