Itinerary of Manaslu Circuit Trek

We will start our trek from Barpak. This allows you to explore these Gurung villages and the good news is that you can avoid the long bumpy bus rides to Arughat.

We cross the Buri Gandaki, pass through a colossal and spectacular valley with the dazzling views of Manaslu (8156m), to the contrasting village of Sama Gaon and cross the famed Larkya La before we descend via the Marsyandi to Annapurna region.

Manaslu Circuit trek offers an exclusive opportunity to experience a reasonably “untouched “region of Nepal. The regions & villages through which we trek are predominantly Buddhist.

This trek is wild and remote, but you will find the lodges during the entire trek. If you are in a big group, camping trek is a good alternative.

You do have an option to do a great tour by including Tsum valley in this same program.

The Larkya La Pass is a bit technical than Thorong La Pass, where you will need to be very attentive in some parts while crossing the pass. It is much better to carry the portable elastic crampons during the descent from the pass.

How difficult is Manaslu Circuit Trek?
It will be quite tough than a normal hike. You will be walking around 6 hours per day with positive elevation of 700-1000 meters. The crossing of Larkya La will be quite challenging and a bit long day to reach Bhimthang.

Can we climb Larkya La Peak during the Manaslu Circuit Trek?
Yes, you can climbLarkya La Peak (6249m) during this trek. You will need to add three-four extra days on this trip.

Cost of Manaslu Trek Permit?
You will need special permit to trek here in Manaslu. The permit for Manaslu circuit trek is 100 USD per person in autumn (Sep-Nov) and 75 USD per person in other seasons (Dec-Aug)
