The Annapurna Base Camp Trek (ABC Trek) is one of Nepal’s most popular and scenic Himalayan adventures. This classic journey leads trekkers to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m), located at the foot of Annapurna I (8,091m), the world’s tenth-highest mountain. Surrounded by a spectacular amphitheater of snow-covered peaks, the base camp offers breathtaking 360-degree mountain views.
The trek begins from Pokhara and passes through the beautiful landscapes of the Annapurna Conservation Area. Trekkers walk through terraced farmlands, rhododendron forests, waterfalls, and traditional Gurung and Magar villages. As you gain altitude, the scenery transforms into alpine terrain with dramatic mountain vistas.
From base camp, you can enjoy magnificent views of Machapuchare (Fishtail), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Gangapurna. The sunrise over the Annapurna Sanctuary is a truly unforgettable experience.
